Transformative Communities
The Transformative Communities cluster explores the ways communities organise to promote action for social justice and ecological regeneration.
A core component of the project is the integration of research, education and engagement activities. In our work, we seek to actively break down knowledge barriers and build democratic communities of learning. This includes the development of sustainability pedagogies which foster tools for transformative (inter)action.
Our Research
We promote high quality, inclusive participatory research, which brings researchers, educators and students from across the university together with practitioner, activist and community partners. In this way we lay strong foundations for continued future impact as part of our mission to ‘transform lives, businesses and communities’.
